Sublime quality lightweight ultra wide angle camera system manufactured by Horseman of Japan. Unique features include six interchangeable lenses made by Rodenstock of Germany and a choice of two body types with interchangeable roll film backs in the 6x7cm, 6x9cm & 6x12cm formats. | ||
FAQ |
The system has lens/film format combinations ranging from
120° to 23° angle of view, equivalent to lenses with
focal lengths from an ultra wide 11.5mm to a moderate 58mm on the 35mm film format - see the lens
equivalence table below. > Click here for an SW612 system overview |
||
First shown at the Photokina 98 exhibition, the Horseman
SW612 Pro (illustrated below right) added a camera body which features 34mm of vertical shift and 30mm of lateral shift
to the existing system - see the full shift table
below for more details.
For critical focusing a ground glass back is an optional extra on both cameras. The SW612 weighs just 1.57 kg in 45mm/6x12 roll film version with the SW612 Pro version weighing only slightly more at 1.9 kg.
